Maharaj from Shegavi incarnated in Sangvi village
Preferences :
For more than a century, the well-educated devotees from Pune, the wealthy congregation had the idea of the power of Avaliya Saint Shri Gajanan Maharaj (Shegaon). For a long time, the Maharajah was honorably housed in the spacious mansion of Shrimant Buti, a resident of Nagpur, at Sitabardi. Kuber’s son Buti’s relatives, who were very rich, were in Pune. The name of Maharaj was easily spread in Pune city. The journey from Pune to Shegaon was difficult at that time. Therefore, it was difficult for ordinary people in the Pune area to visit Maharaj. For many years after Maharaj’s Samadhi period, it was difficult for devotees in Western Maharashtra to perform Darshan.
About 60 years ago: A wealthy farmer from Sangvi village heard about the power of Gajanan Maharaj of Shegavi. This rich farmer, who had a lot of farming in many places but lived a simple life, decided to visit Maharaj. Pandurang Bhaktas, who had been walking on Ashadi-Karthiki in Pandharpur for many years, was attracted to the darshan of Maharaj (Samadhi). Shegaon wanted to travel from Sangvi (Haveli) village in Pune area. The journey had to be done in stages at that time. Upon reaching Shegaon, after visiting the Samadhi, this householder felt that his birth was worthwhile. Avaliya Saint Shri Gajanan Maharaj became his deity. The only devotee of Shri Gajanan Maharaj in Sangvi village at that time was named ‘Late. Anandrao Panduji Dhore (Patil) ‘. Pandhari’s Warakari continued to be influenced by Maharaj’s devotion to his family. He started trading at Crawford Market in Mumbai. Trade began to flourish. Wealth began to increase, but this family did not give up the ‘chance’ of Maharaj’s devotion; Later it was run by his eldest son Shri Narayanrao Anandrao Dhore.
Maharaj's Alandi Palkhi Wari :
Alandi Yatra for Mauli’s Darshan It was decided to make Maharaj’s Alandi Palkhi Wari. This decision was taken by the trustees of Shegaon Devasthan forty years ago. Alandi Pai Wari was successfully prepared by Shegaon Sansthan. The way was decided, the stay was decided, the rules were decided, the stay in Pune was also decided. Distinguished devotees of Pune were happy. However, the number of devotees of Avaliya saints and the number of families who knew the alchemy of Maharaj’s divine power was very limited at that time. The stewards of the first Palkhi Waris Shegaon Sansthan had to work very hard. At that time, some Dharmamartandans who did not believe in Avaliya Sant, Valli, had to face opposition.
The palanquin stay in Pune was finally arranged by the trustees and the devotees in Pune. The first stop (visit) in the morning was at the residence of Shri Balasaheb alias Narayanrao Anandrao Dhore near Dnyaneshwar Paduka Chowk in Shivajinagar area. For the next two years, Mr. Dhore’s family continued to receive this service. Shri Balasaheb alias Narayan Dhore urged the trustees of Shegaon Institutions to pass through Sangvi village on the way to Aundh for the next installation and stay there in the afternoon. The trustees agreed and the palanquin started coming to Sangvi village for two-four hours. The devotion of Shri Balasaheb’s family paid off. Seventy to eighty years ago, the late Panduranga devotee of Dnyaneshwar Mauli. Anandrao Panduji Dhore’s piety came to fruition. The palanquin stopped at their castle for a few hours. The people of Sangvi village started getting the benefit of Darshan. Why the work of palanquin Warkaris, prasad etc. to the visitors started to be done through swayamsevaks
A small Start :
This practice was to be carried on for many years to come in the condition of the service of the Maharaja’s palanquin. For that, a permanent arrangement had to be made. Mr. Balasaheb Dhore, who lives mostly in Mumbai for business, was worried about this. The majority of devotees of Vidarbha Jalgaon area were in Sangvi village. Balasaheb and Dada Hande were looking for a group of devotees to form a group with heartfelt devotion. They saw a person in it. One person who happily served every year was on vacation for two days. Others were serving without speaking because they had no special acquaintance. Balasaheb guessed that ‘this person should be right’. This person did not escape even in that ocean of their subtle vision. They called that person. Asked them.
What’s your name Where do you come from ‘My name is Ramesh Ganapatrao Bavaskar. I am from Shegaon. Is a former soldier. ‘ Bawaskar replied.
Balasaheb Manoman said, ‘Hey, Maharaj has already sent one of his devotees. Balasaheb told him, ‘From now on, you would make all the arrangements. Gather volunteers, gather all the devotees, we are helping. ‘
‘I ask our friends first and tell you.’ Bawaskar said. Bawaskar made friends. Proposed. Friends explained a few things.
The friend said, ‘You know the nature of Shri Gajanan Maharaj. If they work hard, they will never give up. But if they make a mistake, they will be hit hard. They are Awaliya saints. So if you want to make it work, don’t let anyone interfere. People don’t want volunteers to scam in subscriptions. Pai Pai has to be accounted for. All accounts will have to be disclosed. ‘
Shri Balasaheb Dhore – Shri Shivahari Hande was waiting for the same message. He also had an idea of the nature of the Maharaja. Devotees came together. Expenditure estimates were prepared. Groups were formed to collect subscriptions. Each group became an area for subscriptions. Sangvi – Navisangvi also started collecting subscriptions. The palanquin ceremony was celebrated with great enthusiasm every year. Donations began to be collected. The amount of the donation (every year) began to remain in balance. The few hours stay in Sangvi village was going on with great enthusiasm. There was a huge crowd of devotees. Touching the palanquin, there was a struggle to get the blessings of the Maharaja. Seeing the enthusiasm of the devotees here, the arrangements made by the swayamsevaks, the excellent arrangement and service of some of the elements in Ahilyabai Holkar School, the caretaker Palkhi head of Shegaon Sansthan was very satisfied and gave a chance to stay in Sangvi village for one day. Devotees, activists, swayamsevaks are not happy. All were waiting for this service.
Grains in the form of subscriptions and donations began to be collected easily. Accommodation for Warakaris began to be arranged. About six hundred Warakaris used to accompany the palanquin. In Sangvi’s grand school, they were arranged like a house. Early in the morning they started serving hot water to Nana. The previous day’s meal, breakfast, tea were all carefully devoted to devotion. Warakaris started getting comments saying, ‘Our real fatigue goes away.’
Inauguration of Maharaj's temple :
Maharaj came up with the idea of having a temple in Sangvi village. That was Shri Balasaheb’s inner desire. They had a plot of five guntas along the main road in front of the school grounds. They had kept it for the temple. Now Balasaheb revealed it to everyone.
The owners of the surrounding plots were among the devotees. No one objected. Grandpa Hande had an idea. One day Balasaheb came to the plot with all the workers. Boundaries shown.
At a good moment, Shri Dada Hande and Hande Vahini also performed Bhumi Pujan at the place in the presence of two or four activists. A small temple was built on this site, ten to eleven feet from the original road. There was a photo of the Maharaja and folded shoes. In front of the temple an ota of about twenty five x forty feet was built and a good shed was erected on it. The daily routine of worship began. The flow of small donations began. The plot was compounded. An iron gate was installed. There is a ball at the back of the temple. Neighbors live there. Adjacent to this bid is the empty plot of the Dhore family. Of these, temple office, store house, toilet and bathroom were built on some parts near the temple. Water (tap) received by the corporation.
Shri Gajanan Maharaj’s palanquin was placed on the lips in front of this small temple every year. The place was sanctified by the rest of the Maharaja’s palanquin. Everyone wanted to build a big temple in this place. Prior to that, the organization-trust had to be registered. Trust registration done. Along with religiosity, a multi-purpose trust was established. Name of the Trust – ‘Shri Gajanan Maharaj Sarva Seva Nyas’
Auspicious symptoms :
Some auspicious signs were found before the construction of this magnificent temple. These auspicious signs were in a way the consent given by the Maharaja himself to this whole work.
- Shri Gajanan Maharaj decided to set up a trust under the name Sarva Seva Nyas. I was looking for a guide for that. Coincidentally Adv. We got Shrirang Honap Saheb. He was a devotee of Gajanan Maharaj. They cooperated with us for free. Meanwhile, the newly arrived Charity Commissioner and his staff quickly approved our trust. It was a miracle.
- We got the famous architecture of Shri Kirdat Saheb by chance. They served completely free of charge. Today they guide. He realized that he had a vision to build a beautiful temple. This is the first temple. This was also a miracle.
- A beautiful idol of the Maharaja was ordered and brought from Rajasthan. The statue was installed facing west. Since this magnificent idol in the temple is at a height, it can be seen even from outside the temple.
- The temple took nine years to build. The three-year change in the trust’s executives was avoided for nine years. Everyone noticed that often the change in the office bearers is a problem in the work that is being done. Large donations were collected. Gained the support of many.
- In this way many good things happened. C. In 2005, on the day of Maharaj’s revelation, the installation and the climax pujan were held. Kalsharohan was conducted by Revered Shri Shankaracharya Karveer Peeth, Kolhapur. The founding ceremony was formally started for nine days.
